New Album Release: Echoes of the Orient

I'm thrilled to announce that my dream of releasing music with a major record label is finally becoming a reality. This summer, Naxos World will release two singles—Plum Blossom on July 4 and Ikan Kekek on July 11—followed by the full album, Echoes of the Orient, on July 25, 2025.

Echoes of the Orient is a deeply personal collection inspired by my childhood in Malaysia. The music draws on vivid memories: my grandfather’s grocery store, a hike to a magnificent waterfall, and the magical moment of spotting a kanchil (mouse-deer) in the forest.

The album features the brilliant Katie Yao Morgan on piano throughout, with the expressive Xiao Wang joining on erhu for three of the tracks.

To celebrate the release, there will be a live concert at Oriel High School, Crawley, on September 12. The sheet music for the album will also be published by Editions Musica Ferrum.
